What You Miss After Your Child Learns to Read

An insightful survey shows the impact of a nightly reading ritual in children.  In yesterday’s Wall Street Journal this article describes how once children learn to read, in many homes, the nightly reading ritual ends. However, 40% of the children in the survey ages 6-11 still wish their parents read to them.  The sacred time spent was meaningful to both parents and children.
